I saw this over at Rude Cactus…and wanted to play along.
The Rules: Write about five idiosyncrasies.
1.Like Offspring, I like to “keep them separated” (foods that is). When I eat a plate of food- I prefer it if my different foods do not touch. And when I eat them- I tend to eat all of one before moving on to the next- usually working on least favorite food first- and saving favorite for last. Say I was eating a meal of chicken, salad, and brocoli. I would eat all of the brocoli first…then the chicken and then the salad…because I like salad more than chicken…and I like brocoli the least of them all. If it is something like pizza I like to eat it topping by topping…then the cheese then the crust. The same holds true for things like M&MS. If convenient- I would prefer to pour them out and separate them into groups and eat them according to color- starting with brown (least favorite color) and ending with Orange- favorite M&M color. Of course I am not ridiculous about this- if it isn’t convenient- or I am eating in public or at someone’s house- I will eat like a normal person.
2.I am very picky when it comes to…parking. I love end spots and will sometimes go way out of my way to park in one. I also will not park next to vans if I can help it- especially Minivans…or station wagons..or anything where kids might swing their doors open into my car. I will tell you to get your ass off my car if I catch you leaning on it too…that is like a huge pet peeve of mine- when people lean on your car. If you are too tired to stand erect- go home and take a nap- do not lean on my car.
3.I do not like to valet park. I don’t trust valets with my car. It all stems from one of the first times I was in Vegas and walking through the MGM parking lot - through the valet area where I saw how the valets drive your cars. They abuse them. They will not abuse my Doris.
4.I don’t like labels. On my beverages that is. I like to peel them off of whatever I am drinking- especially if I can see through the bottle. I guess it is so I can chart my progress. Or maybe it is just more aesthetically pleasing to me that way.
5.It is all in the words. I like to find weirdish words and use them alot. Like ESOTERIC is one of my favorites. I learned it in highschool and LOVED it..so I use it whenever possible. There are others- like lugubrious that I enjoy as well. Usually the funnier sounding the word the better I like it and the more I will use it.
