    iTunes help…

Ok…I love my iPod…and I love iTunes…this we have established.

I am asking for my fellow iTunes users for some help:

I have approximately 1000+ songs in my iTunes on my iBook. I am going to be getting a nice…fully stacked Gateway…(flat screen monitor…1Gb ram…a killer graphics card…etc) because the price was irresistable (i.e. free).

My question to you is…how can I move my tunes over from my iBook to my Gateway without burning a buncha cds? Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

Just a suggestion……. If your iBook has a network connector, you could buy a cheap crossover cable and just port the files over to the new Gateway.

Roger that. Make a small network. If you’ve got a hub/router/switch, just plug each computer into that using regular network cables. If no hub/switch/router, then plug an ethernet cable straight betweeen the two. But like Koshka says, if you go that route, you’ll need a “crossover” cable. The individual wires in a crossover cable follow a different pattern than a regular “straight through” patch cable.

Or, find some geek on campus, and offer to caffienate him with a couple of turbo shots. All geeks work for java! :-)

Or DUH! Use the ipod as a little “file server.” Load it up with tunes from the Mac, load iTunes on the PC, then pull them from the iPod to the PC. That would be super easy. Why didn’t I think of that before?

Of course, how much will the iPod hold? It may be easier, but it may be more time consuming.

Mac Hottie agrees with all of the above! (At least he did when I asked this question about three months back….)
