There once was a girl (ME) who loved to take pictures…and take pictures she did. She has a Canon Powershot of some sort and loved the camera to death. She was oft found carrying it with her just in case a kodak moment arose. Then said girl got “jealous” because her friend got a new SONY camera that was FIVE MEGAPIXELS…which was way better then the paltry 3 that her Canon had. She saved up and bought said SONY camera- giving up her beloved CANON to her brother who didn’t have a camera of his own. Sony Camera worked ok…but she didn’t like it. It didn’t have some of the features her canon had…and it just seemed to disappoint her in that she had to take more pictures to get the ONE SHOT she wanted. And the thing had a horrendous DELAY (you know the delay from the time you take the picture to the time that the camera actually decides to take said picture…when everyone has moved around by then). She liked said SONY camera…but didn’t LOVE said SONY camera. She longs back to the days when she owned her CANON. Finally she decided that enough was enough and went out this weekend and bought a new CANON. A Powershot 630. It isn’t the world’s most expensive camera….but it works just fine for what she wants it for…and it is sooo small. So far she loves it (the new CANON) muchly.
Moral of this story:
Don’t covet thy neighbor’s megapixels.
Don’t give away your old camera unless you are damn sure you love your new one.
