If someone is in 1st place at the end of the last race before the Chase, then they'd better darn well stay there. And not just because Tony was there in 2009. :) To me, there is no point in giving them points before the Chase starts if they're going to do what they do and reset the field and go by number of points and how many races won. Funny, Tony was 1st in points and won less races than Mark Martin (for example) but then the Chase starts and Mark Martin gets to take the lead? That's not fair to my idea.
