It is absolutely killing me that I have not been to a race recently.  The last race I atttended was the spring Phoenix race…and that was crazy because basically it was in and out. Drive to Vegas get Misty, drive to phoenix, see race, drive back to vegas drop Misty off and go home.  Yes we had fun….but it was too quick.  I didn’t get to relish in the race weekend of it all.  It was a very last minute decision to even go to that race…and that is something that is almost not even in our vocabulary. Misty and I are…a bit excessive in the planning department and deciding 7 days before a race to attend it? Is not like us in the bit.

How excessive are we in the planning department? Well let’s just say we already have tickets for the Fall race at Autoclub speedway and the fall race and Phoenix.  We already have hotel reservations for one of them…and are chomping at the bit to make reservations for the other.  I have already asked for the time off for both races as well as champions week from my “real” job. 

I miss the excitement, adventure and fun of the track.  I even miss the smell of oil and rubber and exhaust. I miss the pit stops and burn outs. I miss it all. October can’t come soon enough for me!
