Help Send A Camper to Victory Junction Gang CampPosted by in General
I have talked here about the Victory Junction Gang Camp before- but I haven’t mentioned them in awhile and when a press release came to my attention I couldn’t NOT bring them up again. For those who have not heard of VJGC- it is a year-round camping environment for children ages six to 16 with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses. Founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty in honor of their son Adam, Victory Junction’s mission is to provide life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, in a safe and medically-sound environment.
It currently costs $2500 to send a camper to VJGC for a week. Victory Junction relies solely on contributions and donations from individuals and corporations so that campers do not have to pay ANYTHING to attend camp.
From now until May 6th if you donate a dollar to VJGC at Kangaroo Express in one of their more than 700 locations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virgina you will also get a 50 cent coupon good for your purchase of any 20 or 24 oz Coca-cola product. In the second week of this campaign they have already raised $200,000 to go towards making VJCG free for campers. So stop into your local Kangaroo Express and donate a dollar to help VJGC and campers everywhere!
If you aren’t near a Kangaroo Express, there are so many other ways you can help the VJGC including monetary and gift card donations, camp supplies, and even by making stuffed friends for the campers to take home with them. For more information on other ways you can help VJGC check out their donation page and feel your heart race.
