I think the reason Harvick was fined was because he got out of his car and tried to punch Kyle. If he’d stayed in his car, he might not have gotten the fine and probation. I do think it odd that they gave both drivers the precise same punishment though.

As far as the hype – I knew that was coming. Hype = publicity = people watching = sponsors get face time. Of course, that can backfire as fans of Harvick probably aren’t going to buy M&M’s and fans of Busch probably aren’t going to buy Budweiser while they’re feuding. Heaven knows I avoid Lowe’s like the plague in hopes Jimmie won’t win a sixth championship.
