Personally- I think that the over 5 hour rain delay was a bit much.  It has been pretty clear that mother nature is not a NASCAR far sometimes and she reared her head at Chicagoland on Sunday- just shy of halfway through the race.  (more…)

If you know me, read this site, are facebook friends with me, follow me on twitter, instagram etc-  then you know two things about me for sure: I love NASCAR (and fast cars in general) and I have a “thing” for photography. I do not necessarily consider myself a photographer- but I do like to roam around with a camera snapping pictures of this, that and the other.  I do do some post production work in LightRoom- but what I have learned in both photography and LightRoom is pretty much self taught (lots of trial and error) with some guidance from my dad who also dabbles. I have never made it a secret that I do not like watching races at Talladega. I watch it through my fingers worried about “the big one” and fretting about my driver’s position (the closer you are to the middle of the field the more likely you are to get caught up in said “big one”).  However after watching the flip during Friday’s Arca race and Eric McClure slam (and I mean SLAM) into the wall during the Nationwide race- I was even more unsettled as I settled in to watch the delayed start of the race at Talladega on Sunday.
