In my excitement after Tony took the checkered flag after a drama filled Daytona- I had forgotten a couple things that I wanted to mention- but then I watched this video recap from Showtime’s InsideNASCAR and remembered them: (more…)

A couple days before the race in Fontana- that TONY WON-he did an Office Depot autograph appearance at the Office Depot in nearby Rancho Cucamonga that included a live Q&A that was also being broadcast out there on the web.  WHAT A GREAT IDEA – huge thumbs up to whoever thought of that.  There was a live audience in attendance at the Office Depot and questions were submitted from the internet as well as the live audience. I SOOO wanted to go.  But I wasn’t even able to watch the Q&A on the internet because I was in my car at that time.

Luckily the good folks over at Office Depot Racing posted the video for us to see (AND on youtube- so I can embed it YEY!!!)

I was sad that I missed the action at Office Depot (I am still hoping one might happen in advance of Infineon because that is the closest NASCAR track to me- but that doesn’t look like it’s the case) but at least I got to attend the race down in Fontana and see Tony WIN for the second time this year. Hey…that’s right. I have been to BOTH of Tony’s wins for the year.  Maybe I AM a good luck charm after all!!

So, you may be asking yourself, how is it possible that Tony Stewart has already won at Texas Motor Speedway before the race that runs tomorrow evening? Let me answer that for you. Yesterday Tony Stewart picked up two awards at the Texas Motorsports Hall Of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony held at Texas Motor Speedway! Stewart-Haas Racing tweeted this picture last night of his “hardware” that he won:

(Yes I know this is late- but I wanted to make sure I gave this entry the attention it deserved. I hope you find it worth the wait-Amy)

The NASCAR race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway holds a special place in my heart- it was the first NASCAR race I ever attended (and the first oval track race I ever attended). Las Vegas Motor Speedway was also the first Speedway I ever held a media credential at- so it is a track of firsts for me. (more…)

Last week (March 29th to be exact), NASCAR’s current champion, Tony Stewart, helped with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Austin, TX for the Office Depot Inside Sales Organization facility. The facilities brings 200 new jobs to the Austin Texas area- what area couldn’t use new jobs? Yey Office Depot for that! And Yey Tony Stewart for helping Office Depot celebrate the accomplishment!

Also I just had to share the picture with you. I love this picture because the photographer caught the ribbon mid-air. As a photo geek- that is no easy task trust me.

Office Depot celebrates the opening of its new Inside Sales Organization facility in Austin, Texas which brings 200 new jobs to the area to serve small- and medium-sized business customers in the U.S. Three-time and reigning NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series" champion, Tony Stewart, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
